Alexandre de Moraes, the justice in question on Brazil’s Supreme Court, has been known to be out of control. His tactic of issuing unilateral orders to jail or censor people based on online speech, usually with gag orders to the provider, is very concerning. NYT wrote about him previously, framing him as a threat to democracy (https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/22/world/americas/brazil-ale...). Elon is right to stand up to these likely unconstitutional orders publicly, as it’s hard to fight injustices that come with gag orders any other way.
