This stops developers from writing musical apps that could compete with those available on iPhone or iPad. iOS latency is around 6ms, in android devices it varies between 100ms and 400ms.

Yes, that's the bug. I have tried to use NDK with OpenSL and it doesn't get any better. I wonder why google doesn't fix this, hardware limitations?
